KEYS TO WINNING AN ULTIMATE ESCAPE GAME

We all play to win. Here are a few tips to winning in one of Philly's Escape Project rooms.

Trying to get out of an Escape Project room is challenging. We made it that way to awaken your competitive and detective side. If you like solving puzzles and working under pressure as a group, then this is definitely the activity for you. Here are a few tips to help enhance your success.

GET TO KNOW YOUR TEAMMATES

This shouldn’t be hard, right? You’re all going to be spending a solid hour working together to uncover clues and solve puzzles. So, why not just wait until then? Because the game requires the undivided attention of everyone involved. Again, working as a team.

If you will be playing with strangers, make an effort to introduce yourself in the lobby before the game begins. We know that’s not the easiest thing to do – approach a complete stranger and try to find some common ground in conversation. But trust us, when it comes time to make critical decisions, just that little bit of interaction will carry over.

REMAIN FOCUSED

The design of each room is very unique to anything you’ve likely seen before. And it’s easy to get distracted looking at all of the intricate details. If possible, refrain from doing so. When you get in the room, before the start of the game, start focusing on the task at hand. The room will still be there after 60 minutes is up, we promise. Take a look around while you’re catching your breath.

KEEP TRACK OF TIME

Assign somebody in your group to keep an eye on the clock. This will help track both the overall progress of the game and how much time it’s taking your team to solve smaller problems. This might seem like common sense, but time can really slip away when so much focus is being devoted to one thing.

COMMUNICATE AUDIBLY

Communication is key. Remember, it’s a team exercise and if the team doesn’t talk, nothing will get done. For example, one of your partners might find the key to a lock, but you’ll have no idea unless they communicate this, and quickly. It helps to assign a group leader that the rest of the team can report to. This leader can also help delegate tasks if needed.

COME PLAY

That’s correct. You can’t win if you don’t come play. The popularity of live escape room games is burgeoning throughout the United States because it’s pretty awesome and a heck of a lot of fun. Don’t wait too much longer to BOOK a game for you and your friends.
